Fred Northup, Jr. is an emerging children's book author and SCBWI member based in Seattle, Washington. When not writing picture books, Fred is a sought-after event emcee, fundraising auctioneer, and comedy improviser.

 

For many years, Fred was an award-winning commercial and speech writer. He has written scripts for everyone from Cookie Monster to Kevin Bacon, and he was a frequent comedic contributor to RIVET Magazine and NYU’s Washington Square News.

When not on stage, he can be found at home in Seattle entertaining his wife and two young children.
